Dusan Simic

Dusan Simic was born in 1968 in Belgrade where he completed his elementary and secondary education as well as the Faculty of Mining and Geology (Economic Geology). He graduated as a Geology Engineer (Master of Science degree in Geology) from the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Mining and Geology in 1992.

After his studies he worked on the assessment of investment in the company Sofitel Auditor. In the period between 1995 and 1998 he worked as a Professor Assistant at the Faculty of Mining and Geology and he taught courses in Economic Geology and Economics of Geological Exploration. After that he moved into the private sector and founded the company Jantar grupa Ltd., the leading private company in Serbia and the region, which is engaged in exploration and consulting business in the field of geology, mining and environmental protection. He has been leading (CEO) this company and many other domestic and foreign companies. His professional experience includes exploration and evaluation of mineral properties in Serbia, Bosnia, Macedonia, and Laos. He has worked as a consultant geologists in variety of types of mineral deposits, with emphasis on coal, base and precious metals, and particular emphasis on gold, copper, lead-zinc and lithium. He is a Professional Geologist and practicing member registered with the American Institute of Professional Geologist and European Federation of Geologist.
